Do airports courier lost items to passengers directly?
Generally no — airport lost-property desks hold items for collection. iFound works within each airport’s process to verify ownership and, where a courier return is available, arrange secure doorstep delivery.
How do you make sure the right person gets the item?
We never release an item just because someone knows its brand or category. Claimants must prove ownership — including hidden details only the true owner would know — and airport staff make the final decision.
How long do airports keep lost items?
Retention varies by airport and item type, commonly around 60–90 days for general items and much shorter for perishables. Each airport page shows a typical hold time — always act quickly.
